This procedure targets the area of skin under the upper arm, aiming to reduce the amount of sagging and to also reduce any excessive fat build up.

When you should consider having arm lift surgery (brachioplasty)

The skin under the arms tends to lose much of its elasticity for women from the age of 50 onwards, but severe weight loss can also lead to flaccid skin on the underside of your upper arms at any age, and is a condition which affects men as well as women. While this may not be an obvious problem during the winter, when it comes to wearing summer clothes, which often leave the full arm uncovered, it becomes increasingly difficult not to become self-conscious about your arms.

If you find yourself noticing how your arms have lost their shape, or if you now find yourself choosing clothing that always keeps the upper part of your arms covered, then you should seriously consider having upper arm lift cosmetic surgery.

What does arm lift surgery involve?

One of the greatest advantages of arm lift surgery is any minor scarring is discretely hidden. Having any form of corrective surgery is a major decision, and that decision is always made easier if, having had a procedure, you don’t have to be self-conscious about any tell-tale scarring.

As this procedure is performed on the upper arm where it has lost its shape and condition, the surgery usually involves the removal of excess skin and fat, after which the remaining skin is tightened with suturing to provide a more defined shape to the arm.

In certain instances, especially where there is also a build-up of fat in the upper arm for hereditary reason, arm lift surgery can be combined with liposuction – the two procedures working perfectly in harmony to produce very effective results.

If you have travelled from afar and have opted an all-inclusive package, you will be collected from your hotel and taken to the hospital for your procedure and, once discharged, you will be driven back to your hotel as part of our all-inclusive service.

You will have a consultation with the surgeon the day after your procedure, and further checkups prior to you leaving Istanbul Pressure bandages should be worn for several weeks after the procedure and for the first fortnight, strenuous movement of the arms should be avoided.

The majority of the healing process will be complete within a month, but depending on the amount of surgery, it can take up to three months for the arm to settle into its final form.
